Similarly, Shahid Afridi has stepped forward and began a project in Tangi Banda region near Kohat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). According to the sources, the pilot project based on ten rooms is near to completion.
Talking to media about his welfare project, he said that soon more hospitals would be established in the undeveloped areas of the province. Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Afridi said that several of his friends would also engage themselves to help him in carrying out the project at high level.
He said that one of his friend Javaid Afridi has donated  U.S.$ 50,000 on behalf of his company. Afridi received the cheque after the one-day match held in Dubai. He further said that Kashif Afridi, a U.S. based doctor would also participate through fund-raising by next year, in the month of January.
To establish the welfare hospitals, donations from U.A.E and countries across the globe have also been called upon.
