Indian Hackers, today morning, hacked Pakistani websites to mark the anniversary of 26/11 incident.
In response, Pakistani Hackers retaliated without sparing anything and hacked several Indian websites including the official website of Central Bank of India, state-owned and one of the oldest and largest commercial banks of the country.
Here’s the defaced page: https://www.centralbankofindia.co.in/site/
Pakistani and Indian hackers keep on defacing cross-country websites to apparently show patriotism. It won’t be out of place to mention here that websites on both side of borders are largely notorious for lack of security.
Pakistan Cyber Army and MadLeets, claiming the responsibility for defacement, warned Indian hackers to stay away from Pakistani websites. On defaced page, the PCA said that their action is in response to the Pakistani websites hacked by “Indian Cyber Army”.
Here’s the complete message pasted on Central Bank of India:
Oooopsss ! WTF ? Central Bank of India HaCked ?
This attempt is in response to the Pakistani websites hacked by “Indian Cyber Army”.
We told you before too .. We are sleeping but NOT dead ! Remember PCA (Pakistan Cyber Army) !
Back off kids or we will smoke yOur doors off like we did before..
Calling Jihad shit ? What do you know about Jihad ? If you have no idea what Jihad is, I would recommend you ICA retards not to talk crap about it !
Jihad does NOT mean war !
Jihad means “to struggle in the way of Allah”. Watering a plant is a Jihad ! So don’t be fooled by the media
Stop crying over 26/11, go and pray for those who died instead of defacing sites.
Stop complaining about Pakistani websites security, secure you own ass first. Thats what intelligent people do ;D

After the revelation of NSA’s PRISM program, it now seems as Spying is the new trend and everyone is in fashion.
Few days back a UK based developer and Linux enthusiast DoctorBeet revealed on his blog about his latest discovery on how LG Smart TVs are logging your personal data including the channel you watch and USB data that you connect to your TV.
Ever since his findings, the story has gone viral and had been reposted on various security blogs and webpages, and just few hours back, the InformationWeek has reported that LG has admitted its Smart TVs were spying on users’ data.
LG TVs comes with an option to grant its users with an option if they want to enable the feature to collect their data.
This option meant to be used for LG Smart Ad analyses to offer users ads based on their favourite programs, online behaviour, search keywords and other information, but according to the DoctorBeet’s discovery, regardless of whether this option is set to On or Off, your private data is still sent to LG Servers.
He also claimed that, each time a user switch the channel, the data is logged and sent to the LG servers. This user data is sent as a plain text with no encryption algorithm applied whatsoever. DoctorBeet wrote,
“This information appears to be sent back unencrypted and in the clear to LG every time you change channel, even if you have gone to the trouble of changing the setting above to switch collection of viewing information off.”
He also had demonstrated how poorly LG is gathering data from your USB devices hereon his blog.
After the evidence collected, DoctorBeet approached LG to catch their views regarding breach, and wrote LG an e-mail, to which LG replied,
Good Morning
 Thank you for your e-mail.
Further to our previous email to yourself, we have escalated the issues you reported to LG’s UK Head Office.
The advice we have been given is that unfortunately as you accepted the Terms and Conditions on your TV, your concerns would be best directed to the retailer. We understand you feel you should have been made aware of these T’s and C’s at the point of sale, and for obvious reasons LG are unable to pass comment on their actions.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Kind Regards
Tom

DoctorBeet had also presented a simple solution to avoid this unnecessary spying by blocking various domains for outgoing traffic from your Router, you can read this solution and his discovery with more technical details on his official blog here.

Typically, when you think of laptops with extra-long battery life, its the MacBooks which come to mind first and not their more-common Windows rivals but that is about to change now with the Toshiba Kirabook.
The ultrabook, with a little help from Intel Haswell processors, has a 22 hour long battery life, that too in a razer-thin design.
Upfront, you get a 13.3 inch non-touch enabled display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, one of the factors in improving battery life but you may also find a 2560 x 1440 res. model.
Under the hood, you get a 4th-generation Intel Core i5 Haswell processor, 8 GB worth storage and a 128 GB SSD. It also comes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed.
With a battery life like this, you might’ve expected the Kirabook to be an ultrabook just by name but that is not the case. The laptop weighs just 1.12kg.
Prices start at $1446 for the V634 model with 22 hour battery life, while the V834 which will come with a touchscreen display but much less attractive 14 hour battery life can be bought for $1530.
This is a lot of money but then again, Windows 8 laptop with a 10 hour battery life is rare nowadays, let alone be a 22 hour one.
